Areté Development Group will go to the ends of the earth to build a relationship, serve to your satisfaction, earn your trust, and honor your approval.
I can only imagine how much better off The Spokane Tribe of Indians community and natural resources would be now if we would’ve secured Areté Development Group’s services years ago. Areté Development Group’s basic principles and philosophy align with our Tribe, where we have been for thousands of years, where we are currently and where we strive to be in the future.
Rudy Peone, Chairman, Spokane Tribe
Our work with Jason Campbell and his company Areté Development Group, LLC aimed to create a sustainable, viable, and congruent strategic plan for the Spokane Tribal Enterprises. Jason offered a vision that resulted in a direction for the Enterprise arm of the Spokane Tribe of Indians. Through the lens of Jason and his company, Spokane Tribal Enterprises expanded their opportunities in economic development that not only led to sources of revenues, but sources of revenue that are sustainable, socially responsible and lines up with who we are as a community.
What we appreciate most about working with Jason his is intuitive insight into the dynamics of tribal governments and tribal enterprise systems and how to maneuver within those systems to accomplish results. Jason is by far the most intelligent, creative, big picture thinker we’ve ever encountered.
Dawn Pullin, CEO Spokane Tribe of Indians
While serving in my fourth and fifth terms (2009 – 2013) as a tribal councilman for the Fort Peck Tribes I had the great pleasure of working with Jason Campbell of Areté Development Group, LLC. Jason was instrumental in bringing Brad Pitt’s Make It Right foundation to the Fort Peck Reservation, which was their first venture into Indian country. I can honestly say this would have never happened without the efforts of Jason Campbell and Areté Development Group, LLC.
The Fort Peck Tribes were very fortunate to have an individual such as Mr. Campbell open our eyes when it came to nation building through healthy communities. Healthy communities start with healthy neighborhoods and healthy houses. Make It Right and Areté held community outreach meetings to get a feel for our culture and to also field requests as to what we wanted in our neighborhoods and our houses. One elder spoke up and told the assembled group that this was the first time in 130 years that anyone asked us what we wanted when it came to our housing. As a result the neighborhoods are designed in circles not square blocks, the playgrounds are located in the middle of the circles so the parents can watch as their the children play and make sure they’re alright. The homes are all designed to be energy sustainable for our long bitterly cold winters by being LEED platinum certified.
Areté and Make It Right found the solution as to how the Fort Peck Tribes were to pay for these beautiful and healthy neighborhoods and houses. They brought in a nationally known tax credit specialist to assist the Tribes in winning a very competitive Montana State low income housing tax credit award of $5.2 million dollars. Areté is very skilled at dealing with tribal cultures and tribal politics. I will reiterate that it was my great pleasure and honor to work with Jason Campbell and the Areté Development Group.
Thomas Anketell, Fort Peck Tribes Councilman
